Man Down, Man Down!

Little Jaxon has a big owie. Yesterday I was strolling through Carter's when the stroller suddenly stopped. I looked up and saw Jaxon had his leg up and out of the stroller, it had hit a counter side, stopping the entire stroller in it's tracks. Poor little Jaxon's eyes just filled with tears and he cried for a bit, so I took them home. Once we were home, I noticed he wasn't in any pain, but he couldn't walk on it. I called the Dr's office and left a message, made an appointment for after nap time, and put them to bed. As soon as the kids were up from nap, Don and I took Jaxon to the Doctors to have her check it out. Nothing is swollen or visible in any way, but he still was not walking on it more than one step before he would crawl. The Dr gave a me a referral slip for X-Rays if he still seemed to have issues with it today.

Today he is doing much better, probably at about 60%. I decided to bring him in just to be on the safe side, since he isn't taking more than 2 or 3 steps. Jaxon needed 6 X-Rays, 3 of his foot and 3 of his entire leg. He munched on cracker while the tech taped his foot/leg in place, and we were done within a half hour! Jaxon was a trooper, as long as he was eating his crackers he didn't care what was going on. If he ran out of crackers, he would just sign for more and lay back down with a pile of crackers on his belly.

For the past 24 hours we have been going out lots to try to minimize the amount of time he could be aggravating his foot or leg by standing on it. Either tonight or tomorrow morning we will get the results. I am extremely thankful he doesn't seem to be in any pain.
